🏹 David and Goliath – A Short Summary

In the Bible (1 Samuel 17), the Israelites are at war with the Philistines. The Philistines send out their champion, Goliath, a giant warrior over 9 feet tall, to challenge anyone from Israel to single combat. The Israelites are terrified.

Then comes David, a young shepherd boy—not a soldier—who visits the battlefield to bring food to his brothers. When he hears Goliath mocking God and the Israelite army, David volunteers to fight him, trusting that God will protect and guide him.

David refuses armour and weapons, taking only a sling and five smooth stones. With faith and courage, he faces Goliath and slings a stone that strikes the giant in the forehead, killing him instantly. David becomes a hero, showing that with God's help, even the smallest can defeat the mighty.
