The crescent-shaped Scallops in a Row is a quick project with a fun border and lots of possibilities for color play.

This project begins with a long cast-on for the bottom edge. The decorative scallops are created first before longer short rows make up the crescent body of the shawl.

The short rows used in the shawl do not require wraps or any special stitches because they are combined with decreases.

Please note, the number of stitches for the cast on at the beginning of the shawl is quite large.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a different yarn weight or needle size will affect the size of the finished shawl.
