DepoQuote — Reviewed Transcript Excerpts & Batch Reports (Python Utility)

Create transcript excerpts with a trail back to their source.

DepoQuote is a local Python command-line utility for manually configured, single-column, text-backed PDFs with numbered transcript lines. Inspect a small section, compare every mapped row with the original PDF, then produce individual excerpts or batches with page/line references, word coordinates and source hashes.

This is source code, not a standalone EXE or graphical transcript editor. The buyer workflow was checked on Windows with Python 3.12. You need command-line and JSON familiarity, separately installed dependencies, manual PDF geometry setup, and time to review the source. Read these requirements before buying.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Python source, a Windows launcher with dependency checks, exact dependency requirements, setup and first-run instructions, usage/support notes, and an original fictional two-page practice transcript with its profile, sample ranges and expected text. Python and third-party libraries are not bundled. No real testimony is included.

WORKFLOW

1. Configure the PDF page regions and line numbering for your actual layout.

2. Inspect 1–20 consecutive pages and visually compare every mapped row with the source.

3. Use the fresh reviewed plan to create one excerpt or a batch of 1–100 inclusive ranges.

4. Read local HTML/text/JSON reports. Duplicate or overlapping ranges are flagged, not merged. Neighboring context is separate from the selected text.

LIMITS

No OCR, automatic layout calibration, summaries, legal advice, authenticity verification or certified citations. Condensed/multi-column layouts are unsupported and are NOT reliably auto-detected. A successful run does not prove that extracted text matches the visible PDF. Your source review remains essential. Two neighboring rows do not guarantee complete or fair context. PDFs are limited to 40 MiB; further documented layout/size limits apply. Other operating systems and arbitrary PDF layouts are not verified.

LOCAL FILES

Processing makes no network requests; dependency installation normally uses the internet. Outputs can contain full-page images, transcript text, labels and local paths. Full-page review images can disclose more than your selected excerpt. Use authorized inputs and protect output folders. This is not encryption, redaction or a compliance service. Original PDF bytes are read only; output folders must be new. Filesystem errors can leave partial new output folders.

SUPPORT AND USE

Use and modify the utility for your own work, including authorized client files. Share generated reports with the authorized data owner after checking them. Do not resell or publicly redistribute the source/example package. Separate dependency licenses remain in effect. No exclusive rights in the supplied elements are promised.
