This unit is generated to provide mock trial situations over familiar materials.  Students have heard these stories many times, but have failed to recognize the criminal activity in some cases.
The scripts can be used with students in Grades 4 - 8 and can be used to meet many curriculum objectives:  learning about courtroom procedure and the justice system, reading a script and participating in a dramatic activity, learning life skills and problem serving, making good choices and seeing events from another point of view.
