The Healing Power of Water: a sacred gathering for libation, meditation, and reflection

BLACK WOMEN, you’re invited to this very special event!!!! On January 23, 2026, we invite you to join us for The Healing Power of Water: a sacred gathering of libation, meditation, and reflection. The Mamas of Indigo’s will share how water is used for healing, rejuvenation, manifestation, ritual, and affirmation, and how you can activate this power in your daily life.

This event is in honor and celebration of Iyalosa Omiire Olomo Auset Siat Egun Lee Ester Niajallah Hendrix-Wilson, aka Mama Nia, the founder of Indigo’s Cultural Art Centers and The Healing Wheel. Mama Nia often celebrated her January birthday at the ocean. The ocean was her Mama, a place where she could be immersed in the feelings of peace, healing, joy, nurturing, and beauty provided by the ocean’s waters. It was common for Mama Nia to bring along her sister friends and loved ones to the ocean for her birthday….. in the Winter lol. Needless to say that these were often very chilly getaways, but the love that filled our hearts, the laughter, the lessons taught by the ocean and Mama Nia warmed us so much that the cold weather didn’t matter.

Mama Nia asked that we continue the work of The Healing Wheel, and this event is a part of that mission.
