Kitson Feedback Theme Sorter: Group Survey Answers by Theme

Early release, for learning and personal use. This is an evolving product: we're learning too, and we improve it with each update based on your feedback. Its answers are automated judgments that can be wrong and aren't professional advice. You'll be asked to accept these terms when you first open the app.

Sort open-ended survey answers or feedback into your own themes, with sentiment.

WHAT IT DOES

Set your themes in Settings (or use the defaults), then paste survey answers, one per line. Each answer gets a theme, a sentiment score and a flag if it suggests a change; counts per theme are added up by the app. Rows the app is unsure about are marked so you can look at them yourself, and you can download the results as a spreadsheet (CSV).

HOW IT WORKS

A small app that runs on your computer and opens in your browser. The checking is done by Jev, a fast decision model from TypeSafe AI, using your own API key. Counting and totals are done by the app itself.

WHAT YOU NEED

- Windows, Mac or Linux- Free Node.js 18+- Your own API key from TypeSafe (console.typesafe.ai; may have a waitlist) or from Vercel AI Gateway- You pay your provider for use. At TypeSafe's launch price a typical check costs about a thousandth of a cent; prices can change.

PRIVACY

The text you check is sent to TypeSafe (or through Vercel, if you choose) under their terms, after the app removes email addresses, phone numbers and card-like numbers. This is not an offline app. Your key stays on your computer.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

The app (zip), start files for Windows/Mac/Linux, and a README with step-by-step setup, including how to get a key. Not affiliated with TypeSafe AI or Vercel.

HONEST LIMITS

Themes and sentiment are estimates; read the answers that matter most yourself.

Digital software. Please check the requirements before buying, including that you can get a TypeSafe or Vercel AI Gateway API key. If you can't get it running, email kit376351@gmail.com within 14 days and I'll help. If we still can't get it working, you get a full refund. Refunds aren't given because automated answers weren't perfect or for a change of mind after use.
