Torsione - PDF knitting pattern

Torsione is a stranded colourwork Hat, knitted on the bias. The tension between the stitches created by the stitch pattern are highlighted by the colours to great effect. It is also surprisingly simple to knit!

Pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up and includes 5 sizes, covering newborns through to adults.

Yarn

Yarn A: 54 [67, 83, 102, 122] yd/50 [61, 76, 93, 112] m
Yarn B: 71 [92, 110, 130, 151] yd/65 [84, 101, 119, 139] m
47yd/43m for a 6x6in/15x15cm swatch in St.St.
DK weight, plied yarn

Needles & Notions

Set 3.75mm/UK9/US5 DPNs/Circular or size needed to obtain gauge
3.75mm crochet hook
Spare needle to aid with crown construction
Stitch marker as necessary
Tapestry needle

Gauge

23 sts x 35 rows to 4in/10cm on 3.75mm needles over St.St
