This was originally designs as a fundraiser after the hurricane hit Texas. It's now the start of a few geometric state shapes (give me time - I'll get to them all! ;) ).
The pattern makes a 10" block. It's perfect for using textured or tone on tone prints.
Due to the nature of the pattern, it does have a lot of pieces involved but tends to look more complicated than what it actually is. Naturally there are no y-seams in this (or in any of my patterns. y-seams are yuck). Paper piecing instructions are not included. Each section is clearly labelled and seam allowance has been added for each section. All you need to do is print it out and away you go :) I suggest that you print to "Actual size".
