Signal One by Arijana Kovacic
West Berlin, 1977. Igor, a young philosophy student from Belgrade, travels to the divided city to visit his family. Arriving with no specific expectations, he is instead pulled into the raw, unfiltered energy of the burgeoning punk movement. He meets Petra, whose personal tragedy makes the political conflict of the era visible and real.
"Signal One" is an atmospheric journey back to Berlin, oscillating between riot and standstill. Filmed in January 2026 during the major power outage in Southwest Berlin, the movie captures a unique, gritty authenticity. Following its premiere in Belgrade, this co-production now arrives in the city where its story began. Featuring a soundtrack and appearance by the Belgrade-based band "Dram," the film tells a story about the courage to find one's own loud, disobedient, and unhidden voice.
