Here's a low prep, close reading lesson to re-energize your class 1 to 2 days in length! This biography (formatted like a newspaper) about the actress Julie Andrews of Sound of Music and Mary Poppins fame. Students in middle and high school students can discover the true story of a legendary performer. There's even possibilities for differentiation! Each lesson in the famous artist biography series is tailored to the strengths of that particular artist. Take a week and study several theater artists or assign different ones as part of a larger project.
The Teacher will need access to the Youtube.com. However, the students will not need access to wifi as the answers to the questions are within the lesson.
