Get ready for baby without the spreadsheet headache. This file starts with a ready-made baby registry checklist of 83 common items, sorted by stage and priority. Log a gift or a purchase and the matching item ticks itself off. It also keeps every shower gift and thank-you note in one place, plans baby's first-year budget month by month, and shows exactly how much to save each month and each paycheck before your due date.

WHAT'S INSIDE (8 TABS)

• Start Here: a 15-minute setup guide.

• Dashboard: a countdown to your due date, the share of must-haves you already have, the cost of what's still to get, gifts received and thank-you notes still to send, money spent so far, plus your savings goal, how much is saved, what's left, what to save per month and per paycheck, your first-year plan and its biggest cost. Also a "still to get" list sorted by need-by date (must-haves first), the checklist by category, a savings chart (target vs. saved) and the thank-you notes waiting longest.

• Baby Checklist & Registry: 83 items are ready to use (nursery & sleep, feeding, diapering, clothing, bath & care, health & safety, on the go, play & learning, hospital bag, and postpartum care for you). Up to 200 items. Set the stage, priority, quantity and estimated price, and mark what's on your registry, what you already have from hand-me-downs, and what to skip. The file shows each item's need-by date, how many were bought, gifted and already had, how many you still need, a status (To get, On registry, Partly, Got it, Skipping), the cost left and what you spent.

• Gifts & Thank-Yous: up to 300 gifts with date, who it's from, the gift, the occasion (shower, sprinkle, mail, drop-off) and an address or contact. Link a gift to a checklist item and it's ticked off there, and its value fills in from the checklist price. Enter the date you sent the note and it's marked Sent; notes waiting more than 14 days (you choose) show as Overdue.

• Spending Log: up to 500 purchases. Link one to a checklist item to tick it off. Its budget category fills in by itself (or pick your own).

• First-Year Budget: monthly estimates by category, the month each cost starts (childcare is often the biggest line and rarely starts in month 1), one-time costs before baby, a 12-month plan vs. what you actually spend, and a chart.

• Savings Plan: build your savings goal from the baby gear you still need (pulled from the checklist), hospital and birth costs, unpaid leave, a cushion of baby's monthly costs and anything else. Log deposits and see what's saved, what's left, whether you're on track, and what to save per month and per paycheck until your due date, with a 12-month chart.

• Settings: your baby's name and due date, the thank-you reminder window, how often you're paid, and editable lists of checklist categories, stages (with need-by dates), priorities, budget categories and gift occasions.

PLEASE NOTE

This is a digital file. Nothing will be mailed to you. The checklist and prices are common examples for planning, not recommendations: every family needs different things, so trim it to fit yours. Check car seat, crib and sleep products against current safety guidance, ask your pediatrician about health items, and check whether your insurance covers a breast pump. Budget and savings figures are your own estimates; this is not financial or medical advice. It doesn't connect to any store registry, and reminders show when you open the file (it doesn't send emails). Amounts display with $; change the number format for another currency. Apple Numbers and LibreOffice will open the file, but it is built for Excel and Google Sheets.
