Mona Moon goes to Washington D.C. to have lunch at the White House with Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States. While in Washington, Mona wants to take in the sights but her visit is marred by the violent death of two men trying to procure copper contracts with Moon Enterprises. Mona is approached by American agents to spy for the government. Mona wants no part of that as “gentlewomen do not read other’s mail.” Mona soon realizes that she has been thrust upon the world stage of countries vying for power. All Mona wants to do is run Moon Enterprises and marry Lord Farley, but events make that impossible. Mona must choose. Does she fulfill her duty to her country and forget Lord Farley or forge ahead and place her country in jeopardy by selling copper to whoever wants it? 1934 is going to be a challenging year for Mona.

Robert Farley is now a bonafide duke. Solicitors from the Duchy of Brynelleth have come to negotiate his marriage contract to Mona. When the solicitors demand that Mona relinquish Moon Enterprises and live in England full time, she threatens to return her engagement ring and call off the wedding.

She says quite frankly, “I’m not going to give up one of the largest mining companies in the world to host dinner parties at Brynelleth for your snotty friends.”

Robert is furious with his solicitors for not being more diplomatic. Matters resolves itself when the English solicitors are caught in the notorious bawdy house of Belle Brezing, most famous madam in the South. Ooops!  Things get worse when one of them turns up dead in the bed of a lady-of-the-evening.

Now Mona and Robert must find the culprit before their reputations are torn to shreds by their enemies. Events threaten to turn Mona’s world upside-down as she is confronted with seemingly impossible decisions.

Mona travels to England to meet Robert’s family and see Brynelleth for the first time. Hoping to make a good impression, Mona finds that she is rebuffed at every turn by Robert’s friends and even his servants. Mona wants to return to the United States, but her trip is delayed when one of Brynelleth’s farmhands is murdered. She can’t leave Robert in a lurch and begs her good friend, Lady Alice Nithercott, to help her find the culprit. Mona and Lady Alice poke the wrong person and now he is out for blood—Mona’s blood!

Mona Moon plans her wedding to Duke Robert Farley, when preparations go haywire after one of the maids is found murdered. Just days before the blessed event, unwanted guests invade Moon Manor throwing a wrench into Mona’s plans and making it difficult to seek the truth. Robert is a suspect in the maid’s murder.

 A missing gold brooch and twenty five-dollar bills are the only clues Mona has to find the murderer. She must clear Robert from suspicion or he will call off the wedding. Can she discover the killer or will the murderer cause the breakup of Mona and Robert?

Mona Moon and her new husband, Robert Farley are about to board an ocean liner to England for their honeymoon when Mona receives an urgent telegram from her Montana copper mines.

Since the mines are the financial backbone of Moon Enterprises, Mona has no choice but to drop her plans and rush to Montana. She and Robert enter a world of resentments and bitter accusations against Moon Enterprises. She travels incognito to search out the truth She must prevent an innocent man from being hung for murder.  Regardless of the threat, Mona must get to the bottom of it. Thank goodness Robert is by her side . . . or could Robert have his own agenda? 

MURDER UNDER A HONEY MOON

Mona Moon and her new husband, Robert Farley, are on their honeymoon at last. They have just boarded the RMS Majesty ocean liner. The couple look forward to visiting Robert’s ancestral English home, Brynelleth, and then its off to Paris and then the Italian Riviera. After a romantic evening of dancing, Mona and Robert discover their suite has been ransacked and Mona’s jewelry has been stolen.

 Mona is horrified, as some of the jewelry belongs to the Brynelleth Estate and were cherished pieces of Robert’s mother. The ship’s crew searches the ocean liner, and a gold brooch turns up in a bartender’s cabin. The bartender has been murdered and the rest of the jewelry is still missing.
