Essential Foundations

Essential Foundations are warm-ups and technique exercises designed for beginning and intermediate band students (literature grades 1-2) in beginning band, full ensemble, or like instrument classes. The focus of the text is on 1. Tone   2. Articulation  3. Range building and 4. Technique.  This collection of exercises has been time-tested and has been used by dozens of bands for over a decade.  It is intended to be used in conjunction with your favorite band method book.  

Separate pdf books are written for flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophones (alto, tenor), trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, mallets and percussion (snare or pad) and an educator's score. All pages correspond with each other and are notated in the Educator's Score for efficient planning and rehearsals.
