Stomata Sonics
If you've ever stared down a folder called `SAMPLES_final_FINAL_v2_USE_THIS` containing 40,000 files named things like `kick23.wav`, `Untitled-1.aiff`, 'stargazer4.mp3', and `snare (creator's cut).wav` — this app is for you.
Stomata Sonics scans your audio files, determines how to classify them according to your Reference List, lets you set thresholds for approval, and then copies —never moves— everything into a clean, UCS-compliant folder structure with UCS-compliant filenames.
Your originals are never touched. Once satisfied with the output, you decide whether to keep or delete the originals. The app intentionally leaves that entirely up to you. The tool can be used on a giant SSD full of chaotically organized sound files, or it can be used to surgically treat files and folders one at a time. As a side benefit, it locates duplicates, adds BPM and Key, produces a metadata database, and can be used repeatedly as you acquire more sounds.
Oh and by the way, this is a perpetual license. You buy it, you own it.
It scans the following file types:
WAV -- .wav, .wave, .bwf
AIFF -- .aif, .aiff, .aifc
FLAC -- .flac
OGG -- .ogg, .oga
MP3 -- .mp3
M4A -- .m4a, .mp4
You will receive 2 zip files (MacOS and Windows) containing the application, a user manual, and a sample UCS file.
