Hi this book is great, it's easy and fun to read and puts together lots of information. You can find things out elsewhere for free but it's great to have it all in one place ! It's very comforting to have and as a first time solo traveller it's reassuring to "know" someone locally. Thanks to you both, great work!

I have been researching North Sumatra as a travel destination for a while, in a few months, I'll take a long break and spend several weeks there. I watched endless, quite identical YouTube videos of the forest hikes and found them quite disheartening, I read many many travel blogs, also very similar to one other, until I found Exploring Sumatra, which gave me exactly what I was looking for. Unbiased, ethical, concise information on habitat, places, accommodations, guides and lots of useful tips. I purchased the e-book shortly after it was published and again, it covers all one needs to know to get oriented and to build really interesting itineraries. Nothing more useful than real tips from highly experienced residents. I strongly recommend to anyone thinking of travelling to North Sumatra this guide, especially to all the people committed to good tourism and ethical engagement with nature and people.
