Im This video i will show you how to turn on the original Webasto in VW T6 (2016–2019) remotely or with an external signal - a simple mod without telestart.

In this video I show a sample solution on how you can expand the functions of the built-in Webasto roof controller (Thermo Top / Thermo Top Evo) in the Transporter T6 so that it can also be turned on with an external radio controller, microswitch, alarm or other 12V signal.

This mod is suitable for:

• VW T6 Transporter / Caravelle / Multivan 2016–2019

• vehicles with original independent heating (Auxiliary Heater)

• without telestart / without remote control

• when you want to turn on Webasto remotely or automatically

In the full version of the video I explain in detail:

• dismantling the roof controller

• identification of GND and signal area under the membrane

• exact place where the signal wire is soldered

• difference between membrane contact (2 kΩ) and real switching

• safe way to connect an external module without risk to the original electronics

• functionality test and check with a multimeter

📝 The system is without interference with the CAN-Bus

The mod is run as an external “button impulse”, so it does not interfere with the car bus and does not change the original Webasto functions.
