Welcome to Dauntless Island, where the doctor is in. 

Alastair Jones comes to Dauntless looking for a sea change after the death of his husband. The quiet island seems like the perfect place to slow down and forget the rest of the world exists, after a career working in a busy Melbourne hospital. As the island's first and only doctor, he has a purpose again. 

Robbie Finch has spent his whole life on Dauntless, working the family farm and keeping his head down. But every few weeks, the quiet becomes unbearable, and he takes the ferry to Newcastle to find what he needs—rough, anonymous sex with strangers who won’t remember his name in the morning. It's reckless, dangerous, and the only way he knows to quiet the noise in his head.

When Robbie is forced to visit the island’s new doctor, Alastair is intrigued, and a tentative connection forms. For Robbie, spending time with Alastair is at once a safe haven and the riskiest leap he’s ever taken. Could this be a way for Robbie to get what he needs without putting himself in physical danger?
