Art journal shots: Atomic Lotus
Art journal shots are mini art + soul lessons where I take you through a meditation + journaling experience and the creation of an art journal page from start to finish.
Atomic Lotus is a two-in-one lesson: an inquiry into what it means to be aligned - aided by two meditation experiences and journaling questions, and an art journal lesson, where you will join me on the painty table as I take you through the creation of this art journal page from start to finish. We will explore a range of simple, foundational techniques, including whimsical backgrounds, mark making, stenciling, and more. These are techniques that you can use over and over again in your art making with different results each time.
We will talk about a few different compositions that you can create using the exact same elements and techniques that you learn in this class. I will also share alternatives to most of the supplies that I used so that you can pick and choose what you think you will use the most.
This is a fun and approachable lesson, especially for beginners; those with some experience will also find interesting ideas and ways of doing things!
What you get with this course
This course is divided into two sections - Soul and Art. The Soul section focuses on the exploration of the core concept of meeting your higher self, with two meditations and some soulful journaling questions.
The Art section focuses on the creation of the page pictured above! You can choose to focus on just the Soul section, or just the Art section, but I do hope you will want to do both!
Let's do this!
I'm so excited to guide you on your journey. Nothing gives me more joy than to spend some time at the painty table as I unwind after a busy day, and I would love to show you the ropes, too!
Kind words
"I have been following Shinjini's artwork on Instagram and I love how she calls it soul art. Every time I have mentioned I want to paint but don't know where to begin, she has told me you only need to pick up a brush and some paint and the rest will happen.
On the onset what I loved was how reasonable the course was priced and the upfront list of materials you would need - with the must haves clearly mentioned. Inside are well-thought out, clearly articulated videos that take you step-by-step on what you need to do right from materials, alternatives, how to draw, how to do the background, etc. etc. This is the place you can begin your painting journey from so dig right in." - Suchita Agarwal
