Phoenix also shares her own personal and professional experiences as an invisible minority, as well as how various organizations can easily avoid the detrimental impact that racism and discrimination can have on their valued employees.

Phoenix's personal story
Growing up as part of an invisible minority, Phoenix has encountered discrimination and hardship, which have caused her to walk away from friends, family members and even her full-time career as a passionate bilingual educator, after almost 17 years in the classroom.
Through overcoming adversity, she has vowed to spend the rest of her adult life helping to shift mindsets and forging a fire of universal belonging and acceptance for all walks of life.
She is passionate, engaging, and funny, keeping audiences of any age on their toes. Thanks to her fiery nature, she will also ask questions that will make any audience reflect deeply, often sharing experiences and situations that will move you to tears.
