French Terry

DESCRIPTION

French Terry sweater is a pullover sweater worked from top down, in the round with an all over honeycomb brioche stitch that creates the most squishy and cozy texture.  The pattern includes an option to add a contrast yarn/color at bottom of the sleeve which is made with gently fading suri alpaca yarn held double.
This pattern comes in 9 sizes using fingering weight yarn with video tutorials for easy to follow instructions for its all over body stitch.

YARN

This sweater is made with Swoon Fibers in their Charming Sock yarn (80% Superwash merino 20% Nylon, 2 ply; 420y / 384m per 100g) as Main body yarn and Stress Knits in their Cloud yarn (74% Baby suri alpaca 26% Mulberry silk; 328y / 300m per 50g) as Contrast yarn at sleeve.
Main body in colorway Happy Memories: 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) (5, 5, 5, 6) skeins.   
Contrast yarn (held double) in colorway Bell Jar: 1 (1, 1, 2, 2) (2, 2, 2, 2) skeins.

You can also use any fingering weight yarn in the following yardage/meterage.
Main body yarn in yardage: 1081 (1213, 1323, 1461, 1574) (1721, 1824, 1996, 2159) y.  
Main body yarn in meterage: 989 (1109, 1210, 1336, 1439) (1574, 1668, 1825, 1974) m.  

Contrast yarn in yardage: 272 (308, 328, 360, 382) (431, 460, 521, 557) y.
Contrast yarn in meterage: 249 (282, 300, 330, 350) (394, 421, 477, 510) m.

Sizes:

Finished circumference at bust (with ease added): 37” (41”, 45”, 49”, 53”) (57”, 61”, 65”, 69”) / 94cm (104cm, 114cm, 125cm, 135cm) (145cm, 155cm, 165cm, 175cm)

Recommended ease: Intended to be worn with approx. 7 - 9” (18 - 23cm) of positive ease.
Sample shown in size 3 on a 36” bust.

Gauge:
For body and sleeve: 18 sts and 48 rows for 4” / 10cm in Honeycomb stitch in the round after blocking with a bigger needle. 
For neck, hem and cuff trim: 27 sts and 48 rows for 4” / 10cm in 1x1 rib in the round after blocking with a smaller needle.

Needles:
US 5 (3.75mm): For Main Body and Sleeve
US 2 (2.75mm): For Neck, Cuff and Hem trim
(Use needle size necessary to obtain gauge)

Notions:
Circular needle (recommended), stitch markers, tapestry or darning needle, stitch holders or waste yarn in contrast color.
