Back to School Art Lessons Art Activities First Week Art Projects Art Sub Plans
This Back to School Art Booklet helps you build classroom community, introduce foundational art concepts and get to know your students, all while making art. It is designed for Kindergarten to Grade 5 and explores identity, culture, color, shape, line and pattern through activities that are easy to teach and fun to complete.
The booklet has 7 art activities that gradually introduce the elements of art while giving students room to express themselves. Each lesson includes step-by-step visuals, a completed example and an open-ended drawing prompt, so students can work in a variety of mediums. It is low-prep, and you can print or project it for a traditional classroom, homeschool, art on a cart or remote learning.
