πΊοΈ Curriculum Breakdown
This collection focuses deeply on mastering Shapes, Patterns and Data through a carefully curated system:
Flat shapes, and the marks they are made of (5 Sub-levels): A line, a ray and a line segment are the same stroke with different ends, and a shape is a run of them closed up. Everything later in the level is asked about one of these, so the naming comes first.
Shapes that fit together, and solids built out of them (3 Sub-levels): A tile, a brick and a cube are the same question asked in one, two and three dimensions: does it fit, how are they laid, and how many are there when some cannot be seen.
Turning and folding (4 Sub-levels): Two ways of moving a shape without changing it. A turn sends a pointer somewhere it can be named; a fold either lands on itself or does not, and finding out is the whole of symmetry.
Patterns, in shapes and in numbers (5 Sub-levels): A pattern is only a pattern once it repeats twice. Continuing one is arithmetic; saying its rule in words is the part that transfers, and the magic square is where a pattern becomes a puzzle.
Data: three ways of drawing the same counts (6 Sub-levels): A tally, a pictograph and a bar graph hold the same numbers. What differs is how much one mark is worth - one, or whatever the key says, or whatever the scale says - and that multiplier is the whole strand.

π How To Use This Workbook
Print the workbook, read each rung's method page, and let your child work inside the printed frame. Then check the answers your way: in the printable answer-key PDF included in this download, or online, one page at a time, with the order ID on your Payhip receipt (valid for six months). Please keep the answer key for the adult marking the work and do not share it with your child: the workbook only works if they have worked each answer out for themselves.
