Ornithurae is a taxonomic clade containing all modern birds.
Details
This slouchy colorwork hat features a pattern of intricate feathers combined with a beautiful broken corrugated rib. While the stranded colorwork is not intuitive and may appear quite complex at first, the chart is easier than it initially appears. This would be a great project to introduce oneself to more complex colorwork patterns.
This pattern comes in both a size small and a size medium/large, with different charts for each size. The broken corrugated rib is also charted.
For those who want a slightly less slouchy hat, I have included direction modifications and alternative decrease charts that shorten the hat by about 1.75-2 inches.
The original sample (size M/L) used 146 yards of the Main Color and 84 yards of the Contrast Color.
Finished Dimensions-
Size Small- 18 inch circumference, 9.5 inch length (including brim)
Size Medium/Large- 20 inch circumference, 9.5 inch length (including brim)
