She’s his prisoner.

He’s her enemy.

Falling for each other isn’t part of the bargain.

When a vengeful warrior chieftain captures a wild fae huntress, she becomes his leverage—but keeping her captive proves far more dangerous than killing her.

Fern has chosen exile—a solitary life in the wilds, where she traps animals and sells their fur.

But her loner’s existence is shattered when she’s arrested by the local chieftain for poaching and finds herself condemned to die by his hand.

Tadhg’s time is running out. Nonetheless, he’s sworn vengeance against the fae after they killed his wife. And he’s determined to get it.

Now, he’s captured one of the Shee, he’ll make an example for her.

However, when he discovers Fern once served in the fae king’s personal guard, he spares her life. She has a much greater use: a bargaining tool against his enemy.

Tadhg is playing a dangerous game though. His days are numbered, and he never counted on falling hard for a defiant Shee female who fights him at every turn.

He isn’t the only one struggling.

Fern has spent years surviving by trusting no one, yet this doomed chieftain makes her question everything she knows about trust, loyalty … and love.
