This baby blanket was designed for my fourth son and I knit it while I awaited his arrival. I started with this fun stitch pattern, but wanted something a little more solid to cover my babe. This pattern is much easier to memorize than you might think, too. My son was born in 2006, but he still keeps this blanket on his bed at night.
Materials: approximately 495 yards (450 meters) aran weight yarn
Gauge: 18 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
Finished Measurements: Approximately 27 X 29 inches (67.5 X 72.5 cm)
Skills Required: Increasing and decreasing.
