This Christmas Budget Tracker is a simple Google Sheets template that keeps all your holiday gift spending in one place. Set a budget for each person, log every gift, and your totals update on their own.

What's inside:

- Overall Budget Summary: total budget, total spent, and total remaining, all calculated for you

- Gift Budget by Person: set a budget for each person, with Spent and Remaining filling in automatically (13 rows to start, and you can add more)

- Gift List: track the person, gift idea, status, cost, where you bought it, and notes

- A color-coded status dropdown: Idea, Ordered, Purchased, Wrapped

- An Instructions tab and a Quick Start Guide PDF

How it works: Add each person and their budget, then log gifts in the list below. Gifts marked "Idea" don't count toward your spending until you mark them Ordered, Purchased, or Wrapped, so you can brainstorm freely without messing up your numbers.

Use it every year: Duplicate the Template tab, rename it with the year, and clear the example rows. Your old years stay saved as their own tabs.
