Kindergarten Confidence & Coping Pack 🎒

Helping kids feel more prepared, confident, and capable as they start kindergarten

Starting kindergarten is a BIG transition.

For some kids, the excitement comes easily. For others, the worries show up first:

“What if I miss Mom?”

“What if I don't know what to do?”

“What if I can't make friends?”

“What if I get in trouble?”

“What if kindergarten is hard?”

And honestly? Those worries make sense.

Why I created this pack:

One of my absolute favorite jobs was working as a Behavior Specialist. I had the opportunity to work with children across school, home, and community settings, and some of my favorite cases involved helping children successfully transition into the school environment.

I loved creating practical interventions that helped kids understand their emotions, build coping skills, practice new situations, and feel more confident in their ability to handle challenges.

So when a friend reached out to me for support because her child was struggling with the idea of starting kindergarten, I knew I had to put together something that could help.

And that's how this Kindergarten Pack was born. 💛

This isn't about telling kids, “Don't worry!”

It's about giving them tools so they can learn:

“I might feel nervous, AND I can handle it.”

❤️ The Goal

The goal isn't to make sure a child never feels nervous.

The goal is to help them develop the confidence to say:

“I can feel nervous and still try.”

“I can miss my grown-up and still be okay.”

“I can have a hard day and try again tomorrow.”

“I can ask for help.”

“I can learn how to do this.”

Because kindergarten isn't just about learning letters and numbers.

It's also about learning how to be away from home, solve problems, manage big feelings, navigate friendships, ask for help, and discover, “Hey...I can do hard things.” 🌟
