The Most Loving Person is the Person Who is Self Centered
This may seem counterintuitive at first, as we are often taught that being self-centered is selfish and therefore unloving. However, this perspective offers a unique understanding of what it means to truly love oneself and others.
To begin with, we cannot truly love others until we love ourselves. If we do not value and care for ourselves, how can we expect to value and care for others? Therefore, prioritizing oneself and one’s needs can be seen as an act of love rather than selfishness. When we take care of ourselves, we become more balanced, centered, and fulfilled individuals, which in turn allows us to show up more fully in our relationships with others.
