Paper Cranes Quilt Pattern
This pattern is inspired by origami cranes. In Japanese lore, strings of 1000 folded cranes are thought to bring good luck and are often given as a wedding gift or to a new baby. They have also become a symbol of peace. A quilt featuring origami cranes would be a perfect gift for anyone with a special place in their heart for Japan and Japanese culture!
Three sizes (baby, lap, and queen) are included--or come up with your own arrangement for the blocks!
This quilt is paper pieced, and assumes familiarity with the paper piecing technique. Instructions on basic paper piecing are *NOT* included. However, resources for learning paper piecing are available at http://flyingparrotquilts.com/resources.
You will receive:
-Thorough instructions on cutting, piecing, and assembly
-Full-sized paper piecing templates for both left- and right-facing cranes
-Coloring pages for all size to test out your fabric choices
-Instructions for a two-color pieced binding
When printing your pattern, please ensure that scaling is set to 100% in order for all pattern pieces to print correctly.
