For the longest time, science fiction was a male genre. Oh, there was the occasional outsider, like the great Andre Norton, but for decades, science fiction was written by men and for men. That meant that space exploration was sometimes also sexual exploration. You can see this in how Star Trek's Captain Kirk conducted diplomacy with his groin. (There's even part of an Eddie Murphy routine about it).
However, if aliens exist, and if we can have sex, the reality seems like it is going to be a lot stranger than expected. That's what this short story explores.
Oh, a warning: sexual language and situations to follow.
You'll notice that there is no minimum price set for this story.
I'm trying an approach titled "Pay What You Want," because I trust my work. I know my stories are good. I also trust people to recognize that quality and pay what they think the story is worth. Also, I know how hard it is to judge new writers, so I want to make it easy for people to try my work.
