Golden Age science fiction stories are full of inventors and inventions. Often their creators work alone, in small, private labs, or even at home. Many of these fictional inventions were marvelous.

This short story focuses on one of those idealistic and isolated inventors, working at home. However, the invention doesn't work as planned, and the results are...strange.

This is an odd and perhaps disturbing little story. I hope you like it.

(This story was first published in an anthology from Third Flatiron Publishing.)

I'm trying an approach titled "Pay What You Want," because I trust my work. I know my stories are good. I also trust people to recognize that quality and pay what they think the story is worth. Also, I know how hard it is to judge new writers, so I want to make it easy for people to try my work.
