Black Walnut Ink
Black walnut ink has been used for centuries as a highly sought after, permanent ink. I spent many afternoons throughout my childhood gathering and harvesting black walnuts for my grandfather. It gives me great joy to share what I have learned for others to use :)
Despite their name, black walnuts yield a rich brown color of ink. This ink can be used for drawing, quill pen writing, as a natural wood stain, or as a fabric or ceramic dye.
Black walnut hulls have been boiled down, filtered, and reduced to a beautiful brown ink. Isopropyl Alcohol preserves, as well as prevents ink from molding. Due to the organic nature of walnut hulls, some sediment can occur. This is normal, and can be solved with a gentle shake before use.
This ink comes in 1 oz beautiful emerald green glass dropper bottles.
