Fun idea, but construction very tricky

The look of this hat really struck me and I tried it right away. As many have already said the knitting part is a cinch! Construction was a bear. I used all the hints (marking, pinning, etc) but the one thing missing - for me - is the back view of the hat as worn as a turban. That would help explain hoe the C and D ends behave. I’ll probably have another go eventually, but for now I doing one of the free patterns!
