How to get the right to live in Europe! Which country is the best gateway to EU residency and maybe citizenship? We have the answers!

Dear reader,

If the past year has made one thing more clear than ever, it is that being able to move freely is one of the most precious commodities. Being born or living in the right country is very decisive - not only for your quality of life, but also for your fiscal situation and so many other important aspects contributing to a person’s wellbeing. Europe, despite the many criticisms it sometimes - and rightly so - has to endure, still remains a ‘beacon of freedom and stability’ for many. Or just a pleasant place to live. Nowhere else can you find so much diversity, culture, gastronomy and a good quality of life within such a short distance.

We receive a lot of enquiries from clients from outside the EU who would like to live in the EU for an unlimited time, without having to take into account annoying visa obligations. Because this is a bureaucratic misery.

Looking for a European passport as a first step is the wrong strategy! This is usually not possible or very expensive. For example, if you would choose( e.g) the Maltese program, it is likely to cost you close to 1 million euros. Therefore, the better strategy is to opt for ‘residency’ in an EU country. This is usually a viable option.

The only difficult thing is that each country has a different set of rules. To make it easier for you, we have therefore listed them in this handy e-book.

Residency usually also means paying taxes in your host country. That is why tax planning is important here too. Of course, we are happy to help you with this all. So don’t hesitate to contact us to organize your residency and your tax planning. This is our job.
