The Mudfog Papers by Charles Dickens was originally published in the monthly literary journal Bentley's Miscellany, between 1837 and 1838. The book relates the goings on at The Mudfog Society for the Advancement of Everything - a parody of the non-fictitious British Association for the Advancement of Science.
