This Basic Art Lesson Resource Bundle gives you print-and-go art lessons for elementary classrooms, homeschool, sub plans and distance learning. The projects are built around the Elements of Art and Principles of Design, and each lesson is designed to build student confidence and creativity.
Use it to fill your sub tub, prepare for a maternity leave, send home art packets during school closures, or build a home art program. The lessons work best printed, but students can adapt them to any paper or materials they have on hand.

HOW TO USE IT
Print and store the lessons in a sub binder or tub for instant access when you are away, or photocopy them and send them home in duo tangs, folders or envelopes for home learning. No technology is needed, just paper and pencils or whatever art supplies you have.
Students can complete the projects on the included pages or recreate them on blank paper, using crayons, pencils, markers or watercolors. The lessons also work for quiet time, early finishers and extension activities.
FAQ
Can this bundle be used for distance learning or homeschooling?
Yes. It was created with flexibility in mind for homeschool art programs, distance learning packets and independent work at home. Students can use basic materials like pencils, crayons or markers.
What grade levels is it best suited for?
Elementary students, typically grades 1 to 6. The clear instructions support learners at a variety of levels, including those with little art experience.
Do I need special art supplies?
No. The lessons work with whatever you have, such as pencils, crayons, markers or watercolor.
Can I leave this for a substitute teacher?
Yes. It is written clearly enough for a sub to use with minimal prep, especially if you print and organize it ahead of time, and it works for sick days and long-term leaves.
