two selections from estrogenesis.

opening with bookworm, i trace the origin story of my gender across the coasts of the Burin Peninsula. unpacking the beginnings and endings of my identity in my environment as a rural queer+trans youth, how i navigate(d) transitions of gender and aging is detailed in this selection.

followed by ghost girl, i outline the tract of all the parts of me that make me woman, as well as all those that make me trans. it is this precise dissection of an intersection that has served as the foreground of my early adulthood. after years of sucking in a multiplicity of messages, memories, and experience as a trans/woman, i spit out this poem in hope that any who injest it can get a taste of the core of my trans womanhood.
