Christmas Art Project Poinsettia Art Lesson Christmas Art Activity December Art
In this Christmas Poinsettia Art Project for Grades 3 to 6, students learn to draw and paint a bright poinsettia step by step while exploring Christmas traditions, plant facts and seasonal symbolism. It is made for classroom teachers, art educators and homeschool families, and it is print-and-teach ready.
Students follow clear visual and written step-by-step instructions using simple materials such as permanent marker, watercolor paint, colored pencils or crayons. They also read a nonfiction poinsettia passage and a fiction story, "The Poinsettia Mystery", and complete writing prompts, opinion writing, compare and contrast, reflections and artist statements, so the art lesson doubles as a December literacy unit.
