Edward H. Thompson was a prolific water colour artist who was active in the 1930s and 40s, producing paintings of the English Lake District, parts of Scotland and North Wales for the postcard publisher Valentines of Dundee. His paintings are now much sought-after and command prices in excess of £3000.
This e-book began as a project on behalf of several collectors of Thompson postcards who wanted to create a definitive record of his work. Together, we assembled examples of over 150 cards which are illustrated in full colour in this E-book. They are presented as a series of themed slideshows with some background information about the artist and about the postcards.
