CREATION — Printed Version

CREATION — Printed Edition

Did God really create the world in six days?

For thousands of years, the opening chapters of Genesis have shaped the way millions of people have understood the beginnings of the world, humanity and God. But how does this ancient account compare with what we now know from science, archaeology, history and the ancient writings of the cultures that surrounded biblical Israel?

In CREATION, Jacob Van Der Land and Chatty begin their series Jacob & Chatty Investigate the Bible by taking a fresh look at the Genesis creation story. They examine the claims, follow the evidence, question traditional interpretations, and ask what can reasonably be separated into history, symbolism, belief and story.

Written as an accessible investigation rather than a theological textbook, CREATION brings together ancient ideas and modern knowledge in the conversational and questioning style that has become the hallmark of Jacob and Chatty’s collaboration.

Whether you are religious, sceptical, somewhere in between, or simply curious about how one of the world’s most famous stories began, this book invites you to examine the evidence and reach your own conclusions.
