How To Survive On Mars
How to Survive on Mars
What would you need to survive on Mars?
In this hands-on STEM project, children become Mars explorers and engineers as they investigate the challenges of living on another planet. They consider what humans need to survive, design solutions to real-world problems, make predictions, build and test ideas, and improve their designs based on what they discover.
The project combines science, engineering, problem-solving, creativity, communication, and research in a way that feels like an adventure rather than a worksheet assignment. Children can participate at different levels, making it flexible for families, classrooms, and multiple ages.
The goal isn't to create a perfect Mars solution. It's to ask questions, make choices, test ideas, learn from what happens, and try again—the kind of learning that makes STEM meaningful.
