“If you were mine, I would never have allowed you to wear that dress.”

After Asher Reid boots her off his project team, Elle has every reason to avoid him. He’s infuriatingly controlled, obsessed with performance metrics, and built like the kind of man HR warns you not to stare at.

But ignoring him? Impossible.

Every encounter leaves Elle flustered, her sharp mind scrambled by the man she swears she can’t stand. And when she’s reassigned to the committee planning the company’s Christmas party, her matchmaking coworker Tessa decides it’s the perfect chance to nudge Elle toward a holiday romance.

Too bad Elle only wants the one man she shouldn’t.

When she shows up in a scandalously tiny elf costume, Asher’s self-control snaps. A heated kiss under the mistletoe ignites everything they’ve been denying. And when Asher invites her home afterward, Elle is left wondering:

Is this just a one-night forbidden indulgence?

Or is this the moment her Christmas wish finally comes true?

A short, sweet, and spicy enemies-to-lovers romance with explicit scenes and a guaranteed HEA.

“Is that the reason you’re kicking me off the team?” Elle had to know.

“No, it’s only a friendly piece of advice.”

“Just say the truth.” Elle was fed up with following the unspoken rules. “You wanted me to lie to them.” She looked him straight in the eye, wanting him to contradict her statement and admit that she was right.

A look of anger passed across his face before he quickly masked it behind his usual calmness. But for a second, she had glimpsed the real man behind the charade.

“Your job is to think of the content. My job is to ensure that what we deliver stays within budget and the agreed scope. Nothing more. It’s the rules of the game. Either you follow the rules, or… you don’t.”

Elle felt herself stiffen at his words.

“Obviously, I don’t,” she concluded out loud before she turned and walked away.

He could stick his project somewhere the light didn’t shine. She didn’t care. Or shouldn’t care.
