HOME: It’s Never Too Late to Come Home

If life feels out of order, HOME is an invitation to return to the One who knows where everything belongs.

Sometimes everything isn’t broken.

Sometimes you’ve been carrying something that was never yours. Something has been out of place for so long that it started to feel normal. Or you’ve been trying to fix what you can see without realizing the problem began somewhere further upstream.

HOME is a 40 day biblical journey through Scripture, story, and ordinary life. But it doesn’t read like a traditional devotional.

I didn’t really buy traditional devotionals myself, and I think that shaped the way I wrote this one.

HOME unfolds more like one continuous story. Instead of opening each day to a separate lesson, you move through real moments, questions, relationships, loss, reactions, old conclusions, and the places where life can quietly stop agreeing with what God says is true.

There is room to recognize yourself before rushing toward an answer.

And then to bring what you recognize back to God.

Identity. Relationships. Home. Work. Grief. Direction. Rest.

The question underneath all of it is simpler than we often make it:

What did God establish, what has gotten out of place, and what does faithfulness look like now?

The story is not the destination. It creates room to notice what you have been living from, bring it honestly before God, return to His Word, and let truth establish what belongs.

This isn’t another list of behaviors to master. It isn’t forty better thoughts to replace forty bad ones.

It’s an invitation to come back to God first and let everything else be seen from there.

My hope is that as you walk through HOME, you begin recognizing more clearly what belongs, what doesn’t, what God has been showing you, and the next faithful step in front of you.

And if you love God but have never really been a devotional person, HOME may feel a little different.

Maybe that is exactly the kind of journey you have been looking for.
