Earth Observation Change-detection Starter Kit

WHO IT IS FOR

Earth-observation learners and analysts practising an offline synthetic change-detection workflow.

WHEN TO USE IT

Run an offline two-date vegetation-index comparison with explicit masks, validation labels and a reproducible change-review record.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Editable XLSX workbook with clean working sheets and separate fictional examples; offline HTML guide; detailed working record; decision record; quick-start instructions; licence terms and file manifest. Version 0.1. Digital ZIP download. Includes an offline Python change-detection script, synthetic scene CSV and worked-run outputs.

SCOPE

Supports aligned CSV red/NIR samples only; no GeoTIFF reader, GIS reprojection, automatic cloud mask, live imagery or real-world classifier is included. Negative real reflectance and sensor-specific processing require a reviewed preparation method before use; the supplied bounded synthetic workflow accepts 0–1 reflectance. No geographic coordinates or real scene rights are implied.

COMPATIBILITY

LibreOffice native example and adverse-input tests passed on disposable copies. Microsoft Excel desktop and supplied HTML browser rendering remain unverified. Run the worked example in your target spreadsheet application before operational use. No macros, external workbook links or paid service calls. HTML guide works offline in a browser. Local examples require Python 3.10 or later, standard library only; no credentials, network or paid backend.
