The Nordic Mobile Groomer Playbook
The Nordic Mobile Groomer Playbook
Thinking about starting a mobile dog grooming business? Read this before you buy the van.
I built Wag ’n’ Wash, my mobile dog grooming business in Stockholm, and learned very quickly that grooming dogs is only part of the job. There's the van itself. The conversion. Water, electricity, heating, ventilation, as well as the Nordic winters, parking, pricing, route planning and the never-ending question of what happens when something stops working.
Some lessons were exciting. Others were expensive. Quite a few I wish someone had told me before I started.
So I wrote the guide I would have wanted when I was planning my own business.
What's inside?
A 55-page practical playbook covering 15 chapters, including:
- Deciding whether mobile grooming is right for you
- Building a realistic business case
- Finding a suitable van and choosing a conversion company
- Planning your grooming space, water and electrical systems
- Preparing for Nordic winter conditions
- Choosing equipment and maintaining your van
- Pricing your services, attracting customers and planning profitable routes
- What I'd do differently if I built another van tomorrow
Eight editable companion resources included
You also receive practical checklists, planning templates and two Excel calculators to help you work through your own decisions. These include a true-cost calculator, a used-van inspection checklist, a conversion-company brief, a van handover checklist and a pricing and route-profitability worksheet.
Who is this for?
Dog groomers considering going mobile, aspiring grooming-business owners and anyone researching the practicalities of operating a grooming van in the Nordic countries. The guide is based on my experience in Sweden, with reminders to verify local rules, taxes and technical requirements wherever you plan to operate.
What you'll receive
