I dag våknet Maurice tidlig og gikk til jobben i den lille bokhandelen sin. Han måtte være der kl ti, men ville stoppe på et lite torg og ta en kopp kaffe i solskinnet først. Våren hadde nettopp begynt, så det var ekstra fint å sitte i solen og se på trærne med de små grønne bladene. Han skulle lese litt i en bok, og kanskje han burde skrive litt i notatboken sin også, om nye ideér til historier eller prosjekter i bokhandelen. Han kunne prøve, tenkte han, og se hva slags inspirasjon vårsolen ville gi.
