Know what every drink on your café menu really costs, in every size, with the cup and lid included, and what to charge for it. Enter what you pay for coffee, milk, syrups and cups once, and the workbook does the rest.

What it does

  • Costs every size of every drink. Twenty drink cards, each with small, medium and large (rename the sizes to 8/12/16 oz or anything you like). Pick ingredients from your own library and enter the quantity for each size.
  • Knows your real cost per shot. Enter your espresso dose and shot waste (dialling-in, purges, dumped shots) and get the true cost of a single, double or ristretto.
  • Costs batch brew, cold brew and house syrups. Enter the liquid you actually get out and the end-of-hold waste; the cost per ml flows into every drink that uses it.
  • Includes the cup. Hot and iced cup, lid, sleeve or straw for each size, blended by your to-go share, with a small ware-washing cost for mugs.
  • Suggests a menu price. Set a target cost % for each category. The sheet suggests a price rounded to your step (for example the next $0.25) and shows your actual cost %, gross profit, labour per drink and profit after labour.
  • Checks your price ladder. Flags a large that doesn't cost more, or earns less, than the medium below it.
  • Prices plant-based milk and add-ons. See the extra cost of oat, almond, soy or lactose-free milk in each size and the break-even upcharge. A flat upcharge often covers a small and loses money on a large. Extra shots, syrup pumps, whipped cream and cold foam are priced too.
  • Menu engineering. Enter units sold per size from your POS and every drink is classed Star, Plowhorse, Puzzle or Dog, with a next step and a chart.

Made for Canada (and works anywhere)

  • Metric-first: ml and g, with syrup and sauce pumps converted for you.
  • Pick your province to set GST/HST, add a provincial tax if one applies, choose whether menu prices include tax, and optionally apply Ontario's under-$4 point-of-sale rebate on prepared food and drinks. Tax notes are based on CRA publications (checked October 2026); a planning aid, not tax advice.
  • Any currency label; a custom tax rate for anywhere outside Canada.

  • Target cost ranges are general practice, not rules. Your rent, labour and price point decide your right targets.
