SUITE DES REVES II for solo guitar by Dusan Bogdanovic

Suite des rêves II pays homage to three composers: Rachmaninoff, Mertz-Mendelssohn, and H. Villa-Lobos. The underlying idea of the collection is that every genuine artist, by giving expression to the most personal and distinctive qualities of their imagination, creates a unique artistic dream.

The first piece evokes Rachmaninoff and his Preludes for piano; the second draws inspiration from Mertz-Mendelssohn’s Songs Without Words; and the final piece pays homage to Villa-Lobos and his Etude No. 2 for solo guitar.
