How it plays
Every golfer carries five ratings: Driving, Approach, Short Game, Putting and Clutch. Each round leans on a different skill and a different test, so Friday brings fatigue, Saturday brings wind off the Sound, and Sunday brings the pressure of the back nine. Roll 3d6, add the skill modifier, read the result. Get hot and your golfer Charges. Come apart and he Capitulates. The 14th, Thom's Elbow, is waiting to take a stroke off anyone who relaxes.
A full tournament sims in about half an hour. Follow one golfer round by round, or run the whole field and sweat the cut line. If Sunday ends level, the app settles it with a sudden-death playoff. Prefer to slow down? The hole-by-hole sheet lets one or two players walk a single golfer round Shinnecock with the dice in about fifteen minutes.
