Have you ever wished there was a life manual that taught you how to enjoy a richer, more satisfying life? How to attain fulfillment, peace, and happiness without wealth or family connections?

Well, there is such a manual, and it has been around since 1943!

Abraham Maslow, a prominent psychologist, formulated his theory of human motivation (Maslow's hierarchy of needs) in 1943, as a way to understand the needs that drive human behavior and how the fulfillment of those needs leads to a rewarding and happy life (self-actualization).

Many self-help books focus on one aspect of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, such as self-esteem, but don’t discuss how that need is linked to other needs in the hierarchy.

Maslow believed that all the needs on his pyramid were interdependent, and that lower-level needs had to be partially met before you could focus on your higher-level ones.

The Happiness Manual attempts to give practical suggestions to people who want to lead a fuller, more satisfying life, but find Maslow’s theory lacking in details, or don’t have the desire to read dozens of self-help books.

This book provides basic steps you can take in your day-to-day life. Habits that lead to more enlightened beliefs, clearer thinking patterns, and more productive behavior.

Many of the suggestions given in this book seem obvious, yet few people apply them in their daily lives.
This book is titled The Happiness Manual because I wrote it as a reference guide, where you can consult the sections that interest you, and ignore the sections you don't need.
If you believe there should be a more sensible way to live other than climbing the corporate ladder or chasing empty materialistic dreams, this book might be the beginning of a new journey towards a more gratifying way of life.

Abraham Maslow’s theory of human needs suggests that society’s values and traditional views on happiness are wrong!

Most of us go about life blindly doing what we are told to do.
We don’t ask ourselves the hard questions of life:
⦁Are you living according to your values or someone else’s values?
⦁Are your needs being met?
⦁What is true happiness?
⦁Is it possible you’ve been heading in the wrong direction all your life?
⦁Is it time to put yourself on a different path?

We would like you to apply the ideas and advice in this book to your own life, and see if it helps you to let go of outdated beliefs and thinking patterns that have held you back professionally and socially for most of your life.

The Happiness Manual: How to Use Maslow’s Human Needs Pyramid for a Happier, More Fulfilling Life might help you to understand why your actions haven’t led to happiness, and the simple steps you can take to attain a genuinely satisfying, enjoyable life.

At the end of this book there are lists of other books, websites, and resources if you need more in-depth coverage of the topics covered, or would like to consider different approaches to attaining self-actualization.
